I feel like it'll be one of those "Karin was sick and her final wish was to love and be loved by Yuu in all her forms before the end" or something like that, hope it all goes well because so far it has not felt like one of those depressing mangas but you never know. . .
Leaving that aside I'm somewhat happy/relieved the 40 Karins disappeared because I can't fathom how the parent's economy was doing ☠️

It could be both. This was always planned to be the final arc but had the manga sold better, the author would have gone through a few more Karin before kicking things into high gear.

Yeah, the notion of Karin being legitimately suicidal is starting to become more and more plausible explanation for the split Karin's personalities and the nature of the wish.

Could just be that the author realized that having a few chapters PER Karin might not be the best idea and can get tiring quickly. So, they decided to speedrun this so that they can go and tell stories here that they wanted to tell instead of wasting time on all the other versions of Karin that exist. At some point if every chapter is about a new version of Karin showing up that he has to get to like him and accept herself us as the audience will eventually grow tired of it. Admittedly, though, I do like all these different versions, but I am jonesing for some more fun with all the Karins instead of him chasing another personality.

When I read this chapter I immediately screamed "WTF!?!" My second thought ran to an Oh fuck...is she really dead and her wish was to see him once more?

Damn cliffhangers.
