This is a really good example of: everything about this comic screams: "CUTE! FUN!" -- but the whole premise, and its execution, is so problematic, that it steals focus from the entire point of the story, that is having a cute girlfriend, maybe even multiple of em'.

P.S: The art quality is really wasted on this level of writing, imo. I mean, it was relased in 2024, do we REALLY still think the passive protagonist, who constantly rubs his nape is a fun character to have around? It's such a dead horse to beat. The level of characterization the author shoved into the girl(s), should've also went into the guy.

What I want to know is, did the charm straight up kill off the original?

Like, clearly there was originally one girl. She was split up, and now the pieces have her memories.

But, like, that's not compatible. If the charm edited history to make 2 new families/histories for them, then they should all remember there being 2 girls.

But if it split them after she finished her summer with Yuu, then both girls and their families would have gaping holes in their history before that point.

Anyway it seems like fun.

I think that the original one with all the emotions, have been split so these versions of her are like pieces of a puzzle that have been split apart, but saying killed off is not the right wording.
About your second and third point, "after" could have happened about anytime after the summer with yuu, soo theoretically this could have happened literally just when she transfered to yuu's class and she wouldn't ever have remembered having other sisters, and remember that the house used to have 2 rooms in chapter 2, but in chapter 3 ( I kind of forgot which chapter but it was when himeka found the anxious Karin talking to a doll ) himeka said that she just opened a door she didn't recognize or something similar so it would be possible she also has just been written into existence by the charm.
(I'm still at chapter 4 by the time of writing so this could be off but I wanted to share my opinion too.)

Ehhh I love harems but this made me wish it wasn't one. Putting aside the fact that it's the same girl, I loved MC's chemistry with the first one the most and it ended just like that and now it's just the same gag over and over again. It's the exact same issue as 100 girlfriends, I can never get comfy and settle down it's just one after the other and let's forget about the previous ones. The few actual harems that are being serialized still manage to be disappointing 😭

And it's not like making a wholesome functioning harem with 2~3 FMCs is impossible either. But they always have to make the dynamic extraordinarily toxic or add a bajillion women to the harem and it ends up being tiring to my brain.
