The missing link is the protagonist, he's just too boring, reactionary, and introverted for the story and interactions to be interesting.

That's just most shonen romance protagonists. It's supposed to be endearing and relatable, but it does grind on the nerves after so many of the same guy.

I do wish a more confident romance protag would appear once in a while.

yeah most of the art is cutesy stuff guess the author wanta to explore the lewd side but is still experimenting with these proportions
