This feels like a complete retread of this mangaka's previous work "Gal and Otaku can't understand each other"

I never understand the logic of springing "Oh I am getting remarried!" on your kids in the Japanese manga / anime. Ain't there a process of getting to know each other before deciding to get "remarried"? A normal person would decide to tell their kids about the potential partner in the process instead of launching the bomb
