I don't need to talk about this after all the shipping controversies I've been involved in . But I’m used to the fact that it’s usually at least based on something, even if it’s forced. But sometimes I can't understand why people jump to conclusions about characters' identities so easily.

I think it depends more on the "type" of jealousy than on gender. Although I almost never heard the famous phrase about “jealousy motivates” from girls.

3. There is a mini arc where this "Kana hates Ruby" thing continues.
4. Ruby starts hating Kana and they never reconcile.

3, and 1 or 2. aqua will either rip into her and make her explain her jealousy, or he will already understand why she’s doing it.

Kana is a good actor. And Ruby knows that. So if Kana really wants to salvage the relationship, she should have plausible deniability to say she was acting in order to help Ruby figure out the character. On the other hand, Kana's jealousy of Ruby is likely 100% real. So she's not pulling this all out of thin air to hand it to Ruby. Kana's normally not the kind of person to let it control her though, because she did consider Ruby a friend. She's decided to let it control her to help Ruby get the part down.

Ai was the target of jeallousy from the rest of her team. And she knew that and shone even brighter in spite of it. Ai's attitude was more one of "I really am better than everyone else, and you being jeallous just proves it." But it still got to her. That's why her kids were precious to her, because they were someone she could talk to who didn't hate her. And her fans were precious to her, because they worshipped her.

Yeah.... she goes tar far for a dear friend to self sacrifice that friendship to make Ruby act well and understand that feeling. Lets just hope that doesn't escalate... but I bet Aqua will interfere if that end to happen and talk with Kana and will understand why she did that. After that, they might reconcile and become friends again.

She is neither autistic nor a sociopath. Aka repeatedly showed that she was marginalized by those around her and therefore had little experience of healthy social relationships.

Oh i know that she is not actually a sociopath, but if we are trying to explain her mentality I think it would be the closest because she shows many of the traits, with pretty much just lacking the part that her mental state was a consequence of her environment and not so much of a mental illness.

It was about the mangaplus section, where the second most popular comment was the hope that "incest groomers" would stop ship Aqua and Ruby after she called her brother a member of her family.

Personally, I always saw her as a teenager whose life was so abnormal that she simply did not know how to react to ordinary things. Remember how long it took her to realize that children needed to be told that she loved them?
