Everyone out here simping for Akane or Kana when the Director is one of if not THE best character who hasn't done anything wrong and has always been there for the kids. Dude pretends he hates playing the father figure but we all know he loves it and he's a true chad because of it especially in an industry filled to the brim with skeezy assholes who are more than willing to take advantage of anyone and everyone.

Also it's adorable that he uses the excuse of ferrying around other movie staff to film locations showing he is not only not a piece of shit who exploits his talents or workers but actively assists them. In my fanon, he would end up with Miyako since she's already their adoptive mother and would treat her better than that worthless sack of shit Ichigo. I mean it is kind of slim pickings when it comes to positive male role models for the kids but all things considered the only major flaw with the Director is his crippling loneliness.
