In fact, you could probably remove those components and the story would barely change.

I had an idea to use in the commentary a list of examples with characters and themes, why the ending is broken and does not work, but I realized that this would simply be enough for several essays.

I, liked the ending? It was a story about a doctor sacrificing himself to ensure that a patient he deeply cared for was able to live the life of her dreams.

Through repeating her traumatic experience, which he wanted to avoid. And which, judging by this chapter, doesn't work well, since Ruby is essentially forced to endure pain and trauma in order to support others. Thus we end up with a self-confusing mess that doesn't know what it wants. I mean, the characters are literally forced to search for meaning in life because Aqua killed himself to give them meaning in life. This is ridiculous.

Aqua's destiny was becoming a sacrificial lamb so that Ruby who didn't want to be the same idol as Ai but a sincere one can instead...lie everyday and keep shaking her ass in a miniskirt for sweaty nerds for 10-15 years.

EDIT: Remember when Aqua told Ruby the truth when it seemed the only way to rescue her from darkness? I am sure that killing himself without leaving anything behind won't damage her mind in any way whatsoever.
Ruby entire arc was about being a different kind of Idol from Ai, and it was undone in a single chapter.

Good god Aka, your divorce was years ago, not everyone has to be as miserable as you.

Aqua's death is so idiotic, this was the point where he had finally chosen to value his life, just because they couldn't put bodyguards for Ruby? Does Aka think no celebrity has ever been threatened and people actually tried to kill?

Also reminder that Kamiki never got any genius masterplan for the people he got killed, just random fans doing stabbing or celebrities that got isolated and killed without witnesses. Easily avoidable with a proper security details.
"Oh but, then she will always have to live in fear with bodyguards", yeah you think there aren't hundreds of people sending dead threats to thousand of politicians, actors and singers?

The problem is that if Aqua hadn't committed suicide, she wouldn't have needed to deal with it in the first place and Aqua would have been much easier to motivate us through the example of how the two of them got rid of past traumas and the heavy load of the past. But in the end, one twin died after suicide, and the other, being broken, tries to pretend to be happy to motivate others.

So literally Ai v2. Got it

In total, Ai’s death led to her son committing suicide, and her daughter ended up in the same trap as herself. Aka seems to be telling us that if you are injured, then nothing will help you, get ready for losses in your life.

And what a dull chapter, it seems like they just said "ok, he died, let's move on", there is no space for the characters to show grief. Aka showing that it is overrated, it started ok and halfway through it skidded until this bad final stretch

I'd like to say that Aka doesn't care about anything anymore, but that's so bad that if that's what he intended from the beginning, then basically the entire manga is one big hypocritical lie with a ton of plot holes and plot elements thrown in half the way.
