I swear its been the same variation of the same damn chapter for like the past god know how many chapters with occasional breaking up the monotony due to the side couple shenanigans.

god i hate this story, im just hate reading at this point. None of the characters are likeable, the "story" is nonsense, and the whole school idol thing is tiring. this is just bad bad.

I'm not dumb or insensitive enough to say something like "The japs just don't know how to write a romance." I've seen too many good series to say that. But there is a common writing style that is super allergic to just having the main characters get together. Like, if that's the end game then that's the way its gonna be until it's milked dry.

How many fucking times are we gonna do this "Otaku sure are a pain in the ass" routine? I feel like I'm going insane from how often he keeps regressing
Since this series are digital only ...hardly can be axed ...
Even his last series he axed himself since he don't want deal with the sibling case one ...he made it complicated himself and no idea on how to settle it ...
While MC and FMC problem settle within 2 chapter ...since both having your standard healthy relationship...with annoying brother only
If that girl really wants see Sawa and MC become couple ...she should push that on sawa side ...
Pushing on MC it's useless ....he likely needs to wait until watching another guy kissing or even putting ring on sawa only he wants admit that he actually love her

Sawa has already confessed a loong time ago. Quite early into this manga. They, and he, already know how she feels.
I guess I should say "felt" since there's no guarantee that she feels the same as she did then and all that, but still.

Just normal confession won't work ...she needs to be firm with it ..Sawa herself are very passive ...
I was going to say that Sawa herself is really passive on this whole situation but she has been internalizing how she feels about Oota compared to her fans and how Marika is now being in a relationship. But her main problem is that she doesn't take any action by herself. It would be alright if she comes to accept that she likes Oota but doesn't want to be in a relationship because she wants to be the idol her fans wants her to be and Oota wants to keep just being her fan. But clearly Sawa is bothered by the situation and I don't think she'll do anything about if Marika doesn't spell it to her and order her to do something about it.

especially since i've seen similar stuff in different comics from different countries (to stay on this nationality based suggestion of yours (if i understand correctly (maybe i don't...))
seems to me that the problem here is more of an "industry" (current) trend (drawing series out with less content in more chapters and pressuring authors (financially) to follow that logic)
still, i disagree (as i do enjoy reading this series) and that's fine (different opinions make life enjoyable) xD
i feel that the pace is just really following its own weekly rhythm without trying to rush anywhere. i've read other works of this author, and they have the same feel. it actually feels refreshing to me (as too many series are jumping every week into cheap drama and overloaded stereotypical scripts)

Don't worry about the start of that comment, that's just some bitterness at the comment section of this site spilling out. Like I wrote I've read many Japanese romance stories that I think are great. As you mentioned its everywhere.
That being said there is something specific here that feels eastern in nature. This mulling over what love even is. Sometiems it feels less like the characters talking and the auhtor just speaking throuhg a mouth piece. and speaking of...
Me too and I've only really liked the one where the leads were already going out. The one about he band kids. The author's tendency to get bored with their leads and write about another couple is probably at its worst here. This is clearly in their style and to be honest, I don't personally like it. But even after returning to our lead character's here they've been spinning their wheels too long for my taste. Especially compared to their supporting cast that went on a hyper accelerated soap opera romance. Honestly I should really stop, even though I really do like this premise.
