The story keep teasing us, but after this chapter I'm certain that Kohaku has known from the very beginning and has gone along with the Sachi roleplay since it allows her to get closer to Sensei in a way that she wouldn't be able to at school. The sly smile on page 28 when she notices Sensei's sewing machine is the same one as Sachi's was delightful. I wouldn't be surprised if her art club classmates immediately see through the disguise if and when they finally meet Sachi.

Yeah, she's known for a long while, at least since that earlier chapter when she questioned Sensei (chapter 5).

I wondered the same thing ever since she started asking for the two of them together even earlier than chapter 5. Chapter 5 is the clearest hint though.

Of course she knows and is playing along. I'm fairly sure she'll eventually "slip up" on purpose and call her "Sensei" when she's disguised and let her know that she knew the entire time...

I'm gonna guess the painting is of both Sensei and Sachi, like those parallel pictures of characters that have double personas.

Would be sick if there was one specific detail, damage, or quirk about it that Kohaku noticed by looking closely – that's how she's good at art, after all – and that's how she knows it's the same one.
