I'm not going to "Kyaaaaaa" because the last time I did, a fun romcom got brutally axed the next chapter.

Lately i'm reading too much clearly trashy, kinky or brutally derailed stories that I needed this so much. I was so afraid that this also could get to the forced innatural drama, I'm so relieved and we all need al the fluffy Houjo can give us.

Man, I don't want the ride to end yet.
Not sure why people are saying this is the end? He's opening up to her that doesn't mean that he's going to confess and/or they're going to start dating right away. The "she" in the title can means women in general not just Houjou.

It's like people are forgetting that Houjou still has insecurities that she needs to work through and might need Tohno and other peoples' help to do so. It could also easily have a small arc about Rei and Youta working through things where Rei stops being so fake to people.

I can see this one ending in 10ish chapters, sure, but I think it's still got a bit more life left in it given how it setup Rei and Houjou both having their own chapters focused on their issues.

Imagine if more manga used the setup for an actual payoff instead of either abandoning the premise to chase tropes, use the premise as an excuse for things to remain stale, or just add more girls when things get "boring".

This was a great chapter, the author handled it splendidly. I was holding my breath for this moment and it was delivered very well.
I like how both characters took control of the situation in a way, I mean it was a mutual push and pull, the story didn't rely on coincidences or some character pushing them together particularly hard I think. We did get some wise words from an older character trope, but I don't think it was what made it all possible.
The nice thing is it doesn't break the continuity of both characters' arc, and in fact fulfills them. Ever since that scene in the riverside where they got each others' LINE contact, then finding the missing earring, MC's thoughts have been starting to soften and think he can trust her. FMC has always been eccentric somewhat but the earring scene (and the house visit chapter and going back for the phone and meeting the brother) just made this episode's interaction make sense.

Romance manga authors, better take notes. This is how you handle misunderstandings between the characters. Not drag it for tens of chapters or have it on repeat for 3-5 arcs. Especially when you're doing monthly updates, its basically just annoying to wait for something that's so dragged out. All praise goes to author san. You did well in handling this misunderstanding moment.

Imma say it. Confession will be at chapter 50, minimum 👀

It's extremely sad that everyone here is just assuming it's going to be the end of the story as soon as he confesses and she accepts. Not because you all are wrong, on the contrary, it's because that's almost guaranteed to be the case. I can count on one hand the number of writers I've seen keep going after the confession for a good amount of time, and even fewer know how to write satisfying romance. Only one I know of in recent memory then kept going post confession and actually felt like the main pair was dating is Bokuyaba. Then again, Norio is exceptional, so maybe I'm asking for too much, but I feel like that shouldn't be the case.
