I hate it when the main characters are not on equal ground. The heroine keeps showing her feelings to him only to be labeled in the MC's mind as a someone who's approaching him just to get his brother.

It's just outright disgusting to me how disrespectful he is in treating her actions. Just fucking refuse and tell her your circumstances, or accept her feelings. Don't leave people hanging with empty hope like this.

I've seen enough Japanese SoL male characters to get disgusted by this kind of behavior. At least some of them HAVE the courage to talk to the girl without constantly degrading themselves.

Yes, I get that he experienced people getting close to him under false pretenses, but that had to have happened before he adopted his current behaviour. He talks like he's currently being swarmed by girls looking to use him, yet so far we've only seen some vague, single panel past memories. There's only one person around him at present and with the GTFO zone he's projecting, I think it's safe to assume everyone got the hint a long time ago.

I think by this point ive realized that this manga is just not for me. Both the mc and the fl are not at all compelling characters for me and i dont think the story is anything to write home about either.

When did she actually say, "I like you, please go out with me."? Until that happens all he has is his own perceptions of what she is doing, which have been tainted by the many girls he thought liked him but didn't. He doesn't want to look like a fool or be hurt again.

Try actually understanding the characters point of view and experiences.
