I rarely talked to my parents about my social interactions in high school. Unless someone else took it upon themselves to tell my parents, there is no way they'd know anything beyond my report card and classroom behavior (all my parents would hear from staff is: "bright kid, great test scores, but would have better grades if he did his homework because that's the only thing holding him back").
