TS, from where I'm staying right now and what's seen on twitter/x lately, you're better off not coming here. Whatever education you're getting there, you're likely better off of living from.

Like here in the story, I can get opening a public school for all children to learn the essentials before getting into the work force, especially in a rural/undeveloped part of a fantasy country, but at this point irl, people here in the US are better off with home schooling if they want to learn the essentials.

If you know what you want to do in life, have the drive to complete it to the end, and are willing to pay off the student loans afterward, then that's a big maybe, and that's only if you're aiming for a career like doctor or engineer where you dedicate your life to your job.

In reality, for most jobs that pay decently well here that you can live off of, you'd likely get more going to a vocational, tech, or trade school at a much lower price than university, or even a typical community college.

"I'll just pretend not to notice." OK, now Reda is starting to live up to his surname and annoy me. If he doesn't intend to wed any of them, which is what seems to be the case, then he needs to open his damn mouth and say so. Otherwise, he's just stringing these girls along like a douche.

What country are you from? I'm from Brasil, the public universities here are pretty good, most people who want to go overseas take a joint course in their bachelors or masters. Then they find work there and stay there after the course. It's the most safe option for those who don't have much income.
But you must be a really good student. Most programs only take students with a "Performance guarantees" or PR of 8, i was pretty average, about 7.5, never tried them, but if you really apply yourself i'm sure you can make it :)

I'm from Nepal, and I'm not gonna lie the government uni are the most facked up places here. It indeed is cheap, but facilities, education and other things are just the worst. In other countries, government colleges are a priority, here, people choose them when they have no other options. And private are way too expensive for no reason.

Unfortunately a lot of people who gets higher education diploma ends with nothing but debt and a glorified piece of paper, at least for the USA since I imagine other places don't have student debt as predatory as they have, but then you have other issues like the political climate.

Honestly? I'd recommend two things
1 - Be very sure of what you want to learn so it won't be a waste of time and money
2 - Go to other places instead of USA, why not Canada or something for example? As a bonus if for some reason you end in a hospital you won't go bankrupt

Really, going study in the USA was never all that in my opinion, and with the global economic changes over the years higher education diplomas are just not all that anymore, add to the fact that politically things only get worse due to Republicans, USA is just not worth going to anymore.

Just mostly going to echo what others have already said. Higher education in the US is ruinously expensive and in a lot of cases woefully overblown. You would do better for yourself by finding schools in Europe, Canada, or Australia.

Personally I think the Scandinavian region should make for a nice middle ground. Cost of living might be a little high, but the schooling is good and has some of the best interweb connections in the world.
