Indeed. She has a bad personal history behind her, having been captured by a slaver as a child. Afterwards, she was passed around, escaped, and started from nothing, so it makes sense she has a distrustful and asocial personality. She probably also hates all of these countries as a whole. Assuming what she has been telling is the truth, which might not be the case. That being said, it's difficult to imagine scenarios where Elsa's actions would make sense, apart from her story. Too bad she's too much of a brute to deal with civilised people properly.
