That is a wild level of self delusion, even for a manga like this. Impressive, really.

Also kinda hilarious to see healer girl automatically assuming she's gonna be charged so much she'd have to become a slave to pay it. Couldn't see anything at all wrong with that system, eh?

As some of the other commenters here have said. the healer girl (Amanda) probably had that thought process ingrained in her from being taught by the healer's guild. Thinking that the only way to do well as a healer would be part of a guild with high prices to secure their safety and finances, only for then such income to be "donated" to the main branch of the healers guild. So all in All The healer's guild is probably a con man's Pyramid scheme and she was one of the suckers that joined in thinking she could probably climb that pyramid eventually.

As for Jill's delusions? yeah his arc is kinda shit and feels poorly written. May been rushed and exaggerated so no reader will want to ask anything about him whilst keeping in the isekabuttotalynotisekaevenifthemangaactslikeitis typical mc agenda.
