ive read so many of these types of manga that i think the ratio of gyarus disliking otakus is way lower than liking them

You'd also think he wouldn't upload a bunch of pictures to a social media website if he has no plans on showing them to anybody.
I do that sometimes. I don’t have a private insta account persay but do have a private Twitter (well, X) and facebook account. You don’t necessarily use it to communicate with people, you use it just as like memory or when you just want to rant about random things in life. And maybe he believes he might one day meet someone who is also interested in Kiramon and show it to her (maybe in the case something happens to his phone).

The manga so far is a 7 from me. Manga that forcefully repeat the gimmick at every opportunity get boring very quickly. But Ijichi is definitely a 9!

I have to say, this is one of the few times that after so many pages I can't know for sure who is the "main girl". I mean, Amane it's not exactly a classic Gyaru and the title is about a gyaru beying nice to otakus... Would fit more to Kotoko.
But, it's seems the focus is on Amane.

Amane is such a pretty character. And the hair is gorgeous. Good job Author San

Wait, isn't "Kiramon" pretty much just Digimon with the word Japanese word "Pretty" instead of the English word "Digital" for the prefix? Digimon is more of an "all genders" show though. And yeah, it's fucking amazing.

Ah the loveable trope of gyarus being nice to otaku. A cliche but a nice one at that

Ijichi's actually the original creator of the show and she's just hiding it really well while laughing the whole time.

You must not have met enough people who use social media websites solely for personal or close friends/group use. It may seem puzzling but their choice.

I mean, for close friend/group use could make perfect sense, that's a different story. But if you don't mean to show them to ANYONE, it feels like it makes more sense to just store them on like Google Drive or something.

think a couple of people already voiced their reasons elsewhere on this thread, like the common one where people use FB/twitter for their personal diary. why set to private though I have no idea, maybe they just like the illusion of someone else reading it without someone actually reading it?

Or the more Internet specific phenomenon where people want online people to read their thoughts BUT not people they know. I had a colleague who flipped when I found her twitter based on a tweet she showed me once because she didn't want me reading her fujo stuff.

Then there are weirdos like me who doesn't give a shit if people found my FB because I prefer to behave consistently no matter what form I take.

But the case I'm referring to is specifically where they publish it on social media but set it to private and don't allow access to anyone. I. e. they don't show it to either friends or strangers. That's what doesn't make sense to me.

private diaries and the like. I’ve seen people do it during the blogspot/tumblr era too

Yeah, it makes no sense, because it significantly increases the risk of having your content leaked, compared to storing it locally or on Google drive, etc, and it gives no benefits
