Don't you just love when a mangaka decides to add insane stuff out of the blue for no reason? Also doesn't bro-con pretty much destroys the "harem route"?

Then again, what I don't understand from the start is why there's a harem in the first place, since the author decided to pretty much align the MC with one of the gals in terms of tastes/habits. That's really reinforced by the way they both act this chapter.

If the author wanted to be bold, I'd very much prefer a full blown bisexual love triangle between the otaku and the gals, but I guess that would be too queer to handle for a seinen manga. Bro-con on the other hand seems just fine for them...

Though the way she was acting on the date, and the fact she went on a date, the fact that she got jealous of him spending time with the other girl, makes me think she just really adores her brother. She's not in love with her brother, they're just really close.

Whooo, crisis avertered. As long as we don't have a childhood friend show up that has always had a crush on someone, or an Onee-chan he's always had a crush on, I think I'll be okay.

It sounds like she has the same kinda problem her little brothers have when she’s around. I wonder if this is a result of her parents not being around a lot, so as a result the kids grow attatched to each other? I mean it makes sense and would explain how come she always tends to have to deal with home life things, from cooking to taking her brothers out shopping.

Sounds like either she lives in a single parent household (IE only one parent is around either at a time or just in general) or both of her parents are at work most of the day until late at night.

Now I feel bad for Ijichi, but a lot of her character is really starting to add up. It would be nice to meet this brother of hers, if Ijichi turned out this way, no doubt he turned out similarly since he had to take care of her. Wonder how the two would differ though, since she has to take care of two kids while he only had to take care of one.
