Thanks for the chapter!
So the egg hatched into a giant chicken with dragon wings and a snake for a tail. Seems similar to a cockatrice. Although cockatrices had a death or petrification gaze (depending on author either meeting it's eyes when it used ability or it just looking at something and using ability would immediately kill the target or turn them to stone.) this one doesn't seem to have it or the MC would be dead already after ticking it off. That and being able to discharge a large amount of saliva that only dissolves clothes without harming flesh seems more like something a perverted mage would add on rather than an ability to help it hunt food or defend itself from predators.
In any case, seems someone or some group is trying to cause trouble as I find it hard to believe a dangerous, fertilized cockatrice egg from another world could be mixed up with an ostrich egg. Especially considering all the hoops one would have to jump through to create a cockatrice egg that's not found in nature. Although a class cooking with ostrich eggs seems weird in the first place as it would be cheaper and more obtainable to get a bunch of chicken eggs for a basic Japanese cooking class locally than sending out for ostrich eggs, which are far from basic, from a foreign country or alternate world. Hope Surt shows up soon to help rescue MC without too much collateral damage like burning down the cooking room, or the entire school building. On the other hand all the students would leave the building once her powers sets off the fire alarm, although the sprinklers might hinder her.

@vexoskeleton Looks like it. After all, being a manga author (albeit an amateurish one,) seems to have caught Surt's interest, was interesting enough for landlady to rent him an apartment as only other tenant is Surt, and caught Inose's eye with his cooking skill along with the White Knight Syndrome of him staying to try to rescue her while everyone else ran. Although can't be 100% because haven't seen him interact with anyone he knows at school or neighborhood. Like Surt he might have just moved in recently or been there a while but was always a quiet wallflower. Leaning towards a recent move since not familiar with Inose's personality despite being in same class/year and nobody at school called out to him with familiarity like a childhood friend or manga enthusiast. Will have to keep reading to know one way or another.
