I don't have cancer, but the first part was so relatable.... Ever since I came out as a trans girl, I've noticed those stares. It's been since 2020, and I think I've had about ten unpleasnantnesses a year since then. Ranging from whistling, hissing or cat-calling to actual violence or threats of violence (if I ever see you again you won't ever see your nose, or your glasses, ever again!!!)
My wife tells me this is pretty much par for course for middle-aged women.
(Also, creepty boyfriend-san, don't stare at my legs if you're drinking coffee with your GF in the morning in a cafe in Ghent. And don't effing whistle.)
