Can anyone give me a hint on where this falls between being an insightful autobiographical commentary, vs. a manga extension of these folks', erm, entertainment profession?

Because frankly I feel I'd feel really weird about reading a sketchy-ecchi comic about actual people and their lives. (Just speaking for myself.)

...As I keep seeing this pop up again in updates, I keep feeling like it's kind of hard to bring myself read this after reading in the comments how the relationship allegedly went in reality, afterwards.

Such a harsh reminder of how reality doesn't work the same way as the stories we tell; that you can have two people deeply in love with each other and yet somehow it doesn't work out afterwards. And then normally one then goes back and changes how one tells one's own story—but here it's already been written down, presumably with all the hopes and dreams that would come crashing down afterwards. It feels intimidating.

The story itself: as sweet and wholesome as something about a crossdressing former porn actress can be
The afterword: soap opera
The reality: life is pain

It's an inspiring autobiography, that is the manga part only. Ooshima Kaoru's childhood was really interesting. The afterwords shows how Mitchelle-san was an ass (of course she had her own reasons), that's how it portrays Mitchelle-san, but who wouldn't be? I mean that reimbursement? It's only human to be that way. In all, it's a great autobiography.

Damn, I had some great moments with Kaoru's videos in the past without ever knowing that she released a biography and now I stumble upon this, what a coincidence
