@Xazer i think Sarkas is not really naive. If she really naive She would tell the truth about father Mikulas herself yet She is not doing it.

I also think Sarkas not really care about hussite doctrine either, the only thing that make Sarkas take Hussite side is because Catholic think Sarkas and her family is the enemy. She is just an ordinary person that thrown to somewhat messy religious conflict. All She want is just to spend her time with people that matter to her and that is not bad.

Gabriela was killed because she could testify that Zizka killed Father Marius. (Sorry for the misspellings, European names are hard for me to keep straight.)

The assassin was working for Zizka to make sure she never talks. While she was crazy it was fine, but once she came too, she became a liability.

@marcopolonian As long as she was "crazy", she could live. Once she regained her sanity, Žižka told Jiskra to kill her, because she was a loose end about his murder of Mikuláš. Also, Prokop didn't want her saved because she was an "angel". He wanted to be able to use her to put pressure on Žižka.

It's sad that all of Šárka's efforts were for naught in the end, because of politics.
