This world makes no sense...how can women have the power when all armies are mainly comprised of men?
In any given situation a repressed class that has access to weapons will rise up.
Now make that a repressed sex and a rebellion should have happened ages ago, especially since from this chapter we know that men are treated like crap, do all the work/fighting/money making, and women are nothing more than leeches who do nothing but consume resources without producing anything or provide any service other than oppressing and belittling men.
Now logic aside it's a feel bad intro so far, the dude was obviously the victim of his sister's abuse and died for something as silly as her demanding he plays an otome game...for no other reason besides bullying him...and we get no resolution on that end whatsoever other than ,she got to have a great time on MC money and he died for it.
Is this what I should expect from this story?

The difference is that this is not class inequality but rather sex inequality and it goes all the way down to the lower classes, the notion that a man is inferior to women while doing nothing.
In the real world patriarchal societies worked on the merit that a man was the breadwinner, or he had strength to submit a woman, heck even in the few matriarchically societies that have existed the women in command were actually useful to the community, they guided and not oppressed, and that's why they were put in a position of leadership.

Also someone that got rich off the stock market still did something he played the stock market well and got results, people with old money HAD MONEY to "inspire" "loyalty",
in the world of this manga a woman is entitled to the wealth of a man she married solely on the virtue of her sex and nothing else, not only do they produce nothing they don't even have their own wealth to use ,to at least to show a reason why they can contril the family/society ,instead they only lich substantial amounts of money from their men in order to lead a decadent lifestyle solely being a burden and nothing more.

Case in point the first wife of MC's father, she does absolutely nothing, has no skills whatsoever but he is condemned to give a huge stipend of the money he makes to her.
Same with the MC his sisters have zero worth of their own, yet the MC must give them money as something that's unquestionably a power they have over him.
If it was a world where women are stronger than men, or had some power that men could not have then it would make some sense. But in this world Men are the bread winners, men suffer in order to produce wealth, products and services, men are the soldiers, men are the stronger sex yet somehow they submit to women who offer nothing other than oppression and entitlement.

so again, societal inequality does make sense ,sex inequality under the circumstances this manga offers make no sense at all.

The whole setting not making much sense isnt an accident. But it isnt good writting either.

Cause women dont really have any power. So they are just a tool to get social cred. In fact, its only a problem to poor, bottom tier nobles, as the females prefer to marry up, if you are rich or a high noble, then you can really pick whatever you want.

Also a massive double standard when they slut shame female nobles having slave/lovers, when male nobles commonly have multiple spouses, lovers and slaves. And the reason they dont have slaves often is cause they get pregnant easily and their tribes restricts it.

Men will always be the disposable sex regardless of where the power lies, because it always takes more women to sustain a population than men, so any additional men are spare and can be used freely for just about anything. The higher the population, the more equal it can become, but in low population situations, female lives are vastly more precious than male lives for purely biological reasons, so male lives will be the first expended in dangerous professions.

As far as who is in charge in any given culture goes, that depends largely on whether social value (which women have) translates directly to social influence, or whether it is the lack of reproductive obligation on men that grants the freedom to accumulate power (as happened in most cultures of our world).

Bruh the setting makes no sense like wtf, it's so stupid. It would be understandable for women to held the position of power if they actually HAVE power, and have a good job that earn her money, work harder than men, and at least 50% of the military consist of women.
