Eh, it kinda works in-context. MC is an absolute hypocrite, but he's self-aware enough to realize it, and... honestly kinda enjoys embracing that part of himself lol

It's... certainly unique, in terms of writing, to say the least, but... it's honestly better than a lot of goodie-two-shoes MCs that don't realize "justice and love always prevail!" is just naive BS, which only works because of plot-induced stupidity
