Honestly, considering how absolutely reviled he is and how immature the academy students are, this feels very appropriate. I'm not sure if the original writers or the translators are responsible for the differences between the novel and this manga scanlation, but I'm thoroughly enjoying this nonetheless. They've done a great job of portraying Leon as a decent person who is 100% done with playing nice.

This is pure Planescape Torment. Only difference is that the MC here has his memories and is the one doing the tormenting instead. Apart from that discrepancy, it's practically a mirror image. I mean, Luxion is clearly a futuristic Morte, plus there's harlots everywhere... The similarities are endless!!

It is very underwhelming how weak magic is in this story. Actually I don't think we ever saw anyone using magic so far other than Luxion and it said that it was not magic but "science" to have the same effect as magic.
Obligatory "if magic exists it is science".

@Eksentrysyti I'm not sure if someone replied to you yet but that "no-name scrub noble's daughter" that got punched is a rather important personage in the kingdom. While she's not super important to the story, that noble's daughter is the daughter of the leader of the second most influential faction in the kingdom. Because of the debacle surrounding the duel and Angie's engagement being cancelled, Angie's father's faction is rapidly losing power so this other faction is stepping on her toes.
