It is not like he depends on the country nor "his" family (they are not his family but you all get it), he has the cheat item that would allow him to live wherever he wants and the world is vast enough that if he leaves there is no way for anyone to ever find him again.

This forced limitation of choices that some of those isekai stories does is so stupid.
