I think it’s more like anyone can get stuck in the loop, and once you’ve looped long enough you start to forget life before the loop.

Edit: when you actually think about it, why aren’t they fucking? They’ve spent 100s or 1000s of loops together and dude is still afraid to hit it? Not even out of curiosity?

Who's to say that committing suicide wasn't what got them stuck in this kind of purgatory to begin with? Sentiments like "forever young" or "they won't grow old" usually refers to people who died as kids or those who died before natural death takes them.
