Well, I hate partings. I cry. Though it's inevitable, most comics I read don't showcase partings as neatly and emotionally as this one. This makes me realise that though her character was not very apparent in the story, it was very impactful, and gives me a new appreciation for the story, and also very eye-opening personally, for it's these little things we neglect. There was escalation of melancholy and a bittersweet move-on to the new reality. Chapter title perfectly suits the pages where they say goodbye to the name and the little one Chibi-chan, and though things won't be the same anymore, she will stay cherished. From the title to the last page, the melancholy was felt. The chibi last page showing them when they were kids made me tear up. It reemphasized her affection for him, as he was a big part of her life till now, and it makes the separation more heartbreaking. She's been with the kids their whole life. Personally, she's been with us for the whole reading of the manga. The raw emotion was thrown to the readers by the context from dialogues, left us to imagine a movie of their lives together till now, and to leave us wishing well for them in their life. I hope you too, my fellow reader, cherish your loved ones beside you as well, as they won't be by your side forever. Maybe we'll meet later in other comics. Peace.
