Come on. If she doesn't moderate her schemes a little bit, that future of hatred might be closer than she thinks.
I'm just curious as to what her goal is. If she understands that he might come to hate her, then why is she doing all this stuff that makes him want to shut her out of his life?

If I overanalysed this far more seriously than a romcom should ever be analysed, I'd say she's suffering from low self-esteem due to not being employed. Watching Kento study hard every day makes her feel miserable because deep down she knows she should also be doing something constructive with her life. But for one reason or another, she can't, and she instead keeps bothering Kento, taking her own frustation out on him, as if that would make her feel better. Every time she manages to fool him, she feels like she's still keeping up with him, even though it's utterly meaningless and false.

But since this is just a romcom, this is definitely not correct.

When you think about this manga, there is 99 chapters of non erotic flirting? Between a middle school student and an adult. I can't imagine this stays interesting that long.

If I try to analyze this more than I should as well like @Kaarme , then I suspect her "acting" was an excuse or deflection. She DID think he was not only starting to hate her, but with her self-esteem, she probably thought he was already there. I don't know how quickly a depressed person's mood can swing, but I'm guessing she was already starting to calm down/feel relieved when he assured her that he wasn't angry with her (i.e. hate her).

I could be wrong though. Personally, I'm a bit on the opposite spectrum. I went through a long period as a NEET and during that time, in fact, even before it while I was in school, I could barely feel intense emotions beyond the fear of death. I got used to emulating emotions according to social contexts in school, like knowing when to/not to laugh (you know, the fake social laugh thing...), so seeing people in fiction suddenly switch gears like this (especially when switching from what is known as a height of emotions) has always been, and perhaps a bit insensitive, strange and fantastical to me.
