What an interesting key. Instead of cutting notches out on the edge of the key, it has little dimples drilled into it to push the pins of the lock. Is that a common type in Japan? It is rather uncommon in the US I think. At least, I don't believe I have ever encountered one myself.

I think it's quite common on "high security lock" in Asia, or at least in my country. Try look up Abus EC550 door lock. The reason why "high security" is in parentheses is because that's what they claim, but I'm quite sure someone skilled like McNallyOfficial will take less than 30 sec to pick it

A very cute exchange. And yeah, I think there will come a day when she finally decides to move in, but it will have to wait until after they’re officially a couple, at least. And as much as they act like a married couple, they’re not actually legally that, and neither are they boyfriend and girlfriend yet. It’s coming, but it takes time. Like most of these sorts of Japanese romcoms, they refuse to admit it until they can’t deny how strongly they feel for each other and it just comes gushing out like some kind of fountain of fluff and sweetness that you’ll need a mountain of insulin to deal with.
