This manga will kill me with overdose.
She was fast-tapping right after midnight and fell asleep at 0:32. They've been sitting there for a while.Kinda fast falling asleep. One moment she was fast-tapping her phone, the next she literally fell over.
Some people just sleep deeply (me, for instance). Sure, it's possible to shake anyone awake (or at least force them up, anyway), especially if you liberally apply slaps and water, but I don't think mc was willing even to raise his voice too much.On another note, do the Japanese not know how sleep works? Because that is not how sleep works. I have never not been able to wake someone up if I actually tried.
You're welcomeThanks for the chapter.
I actually liked the anime for having him say "Shove it" to Itsuki as a response. It also had him receive messages from his parents in that moment, too, right before Mahiru falls asleep and leans on him. The fact that the later chapter (17) about Mahiru getting sick was moved to just before this moment in the anime also helped to frame why she'd be so tired, too. And they still referenced the fact that she was busy making New Year's food from 13.1, even if it was only like a line and a quick transition still image. They really managing to squeeze just about every moment into the anime, so far, even if some moments are literally truncated to a line of exposition."As if I am" my ass![]()
I'm more a manga person instead of anime. I feel like reading manga is more efficient in time and also memory storage. When I watch anime I have to download first then spend 20~mins to watch it. While in manga I can wrap it up in 5-10 mins.I actually liked the anime for having him say "Shove it" to Itsuki as a response. Anyway, the messages from the parents helps setup the next phase of the New Year's arc, if I recall, and it only makes sense he'd be receiving them, too. Kinda weird the manga just ignores his parents exist for the moment.
Every so often, I like how the anime decided to arrange and set things up, but the manga still beats it out in overall presentation, sadly.
Anyway, this chapter segment seems to be about the first two-ish minutes of Episode 5, after the intro... but only from page 3 on. Not sure why this segment wasn't just from that page on in the first place, as then it wouldn't have the segment/part cut right in the middle of a conversation, but whatever.
I admit I don't really do seasonal watching. I watched it somewhat recently and all in one go. I prefer to binge watch or read whenever possible. I feel like it's better for retention of plot and events that way, not to mention I like knowing I'm experiencing something with an endpoint. I was hesitant to start reading this because it wasn't actually finished, and in fact seems far from it. I prefer to only watch or read completed works, if possible, so I can know I can get a complete story in a reasonable amount of time reading or watching. At least in the case of anime, this usually just means a whole season is ready to watch before I start a series, at bare minimum.I'm more a manga person instead of anime. I did watched 1st episode when it was airing, but I couldn't keep up with seasonal watching.
Its kinda depends on my mood for me. I mean I can see your point with completed series, having end point you be certain of. But with still ongoing series you can talk and theorizing with others what will happen next, which imo made a good part of experience itself outside of just simply finishing a story. So whether a completed or still ongoing either way is good for me.I admit I don't really do seasonal watching. I watched it somewhat recently and all in one go. I also haven't needed to worry about downloading anime, since I watch through sites that just 'stream' it, anyway (I find some half-decent free ones, I feel like, with some maybe annoying ads around the videos, but not during them- current one I found while searching with DuckDuckGo). Might start changing as I see about getting my sister and brother-in-law into watching a few shows with me, like they've been doing for me. We generally use a personal Plex server for family watch time, so one of us is going to have to get a downloaded copy if we all want to watch something together.
As for time spent watching vs reading... Episode 1 was essentially everything from Ch1 through the end of Ch3, and then one conversation from the very start of Ch4 of the Manga (and I do mean whole chapters, not the parts as they're rendered.. in other words, Ep1 is Ch1.1 through Ch4.1, with one scene from 4.1 migrated to a later episode and scene, based on my recollections). If that takes 5-10 minutes to read all of that, then I guess I can see your point.
Fair points, like on being involved in discussions. I try to add my thoughts in completed works, especially if there aren't many commenters, for anyone reading along later. I actually have noticed somebody reading Seo Kouji's Suzuka and reacting of late to some of the posts I made throughout that manga a few years ago.Its kinda depends on my mood for me. Yeah, ads kinda the reason why I didn't go to random stream sites. I don't want my laptop to get virus. Plus with downloading I can screenshot some dialogues / scenes myself which I can use if I want to talk about particular part of the episode with others.
Interesting. May I know the name of the website? You can send on message if you're worried spoiling it here get it taken down.Fair points, like on being involved in discussions. And yeah, the ads are kinda why I have blockers in my browsers, too. I actually moved away from one archaic site to a nicer one partly because they added ad-block detection and almost every action if I was on my tablet caused two pop-ups, it was so annoying. There shouldn't be any issues with viruses so long as you don't download and open a sketchy program yourself, as well. Just about every time somebody gets a computer virus, they opened the virus themselves. But still, can always just run regular scans if it's really that much of a worry.
I'll also note that modern Windows and Mac OS have some really robust screenshotting tools nowadays (snipping tool in Win10 and 11 is pretty amazing), and I even got myself a screen-to-gif program to even do screen recordings to make my own gifs, even if the web player only takes up a portion of the screen (the players can generally be full-screened, too, and that can make screenshotting pretty no-nonsense, as well). Also, technically the sites I use have a download option, if I really want to use it, but I haven't bothered to see what it actually does. I just like all the viewing options they give- a lot of the series I've been watching on these sites have options for standard Subs, 'H-SUB' or 'hard sub' which is supposed to be a more comprehensive subtitling that covers signs, songs, etc... as well as dubs, all with different 'stream server' options, in case some are acting up.
Edit: oh, as an example, this is a gif I made with the aforementioned screen-to-gif program, a clip from the HoriMiya anime:
