He looks like he requires some mouth to mouth resuscitation. Well, it can’t be helped…

Super sour and super sweet. If the spicy one is salty, you've got typical Swedish candy. We like our extremes.

He be dense. That's not new.

Come on girlie, you know you want to.

Great luck, he found the tasty one!

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me in the another world
Why'd you go and kill off her too?

Is it just me or does it feel like there's a page missing. that jump for sitting chatting to the roulette chocolate seemed very jarring
I thought that was the point, to emphasise the instant fail win.

Amane is like me when I pull gacha and the first one is exactly the one that I never ever wish to get.

hmmm, (gonna rant now) there's another light novel that gets compared alot to this one with most people saying the characters are more 'mature'. The settings that they are pressured into an arranged marriage and are faking it to stall their families. This reminds me that the couple in the other one are only superficially more mature, and in ways that actually make them more frustrating and, at times, kinda disgusting.

Comparing the other ML to Amane, he, because he's from a wealthy family and has extra social pressures from them, already studies and works out alot. That's only because his family has a rivalry with one of his childhood friends family and they insist he has to beat them for top score and shit like that. They also teach their kids how to argue and present themselves as right. Present. Not actually BE right about an argument. There's a point where someone confronts his sister about what his family is doing by using the FL as part of the collateral for her father's loan and the sister verbally beats him back making comments about how just because it happened at the same time doesn't mean it's connected and that would imply that her birth was wrong because her grandpa did the same to her mother. The comments had a lot of people cheering for her and then the ML points out that she's using sophistry against a regular person who isn't trained to argue and that he agrees with all the accusations, which is why they are faking the arranged marriage in the first place. He then ruins the guy's reputation because...that's what he's supposed to due in his position I guess. Oh, and his dad also admits that it was wrong when their grandpa did it to their mom but they made themselves happy with it. The traits that allow him and other characters in the story PRESENT themselves as being of higher status or better socially than how Amane presents himself ends up being used maliciously or is done under orders of parents willing to control and manipulate people for status, not for themselves or the one they love.

Comparing the other FL to Mahiro, she also has a fuck ton of problems with her family. At first, I thought she might be doing better at confronting those problems since she can still talk to them herself. I was wrong. Basically, she was adopted into her aunt's family. The aunt, and just the aunt, started abusing her because she hates her sister, the FL's dead mom. Her new older brother tried to jump in and help, especially since the aunt was doing things like stripping her and locking her out in the snow. However, when he started confronting his mom over her abuse, the FL started distancing herself from him. At a later point she admits that she's being hypocritical in that she doesn't really want someone to help her but wants and asks for help. She wants a very precise, small degree of help that doesn't actually create a confrontation that might solve the problem. She criticizes everyone but the ML for either jumping to try and help her or keeping their distance, then admits that it's that most people try to help her and when they do she slaps their hand away until they learn to keep their distance. Comments tend to hate the brother because when he's introduced, the ML thinks he's interjecting because he has a crush on the FL and the FL says he won't listen to anything she says about her feelings. He confronts her uncle about how she would naturally feel threatened into the marriage and the uncle finally realizes that and they all sit down to tell her she doesn't have to do it if she doesn't want. She then pushes the responsibility for maintaining the engagement to everyone else.

FL: "Won't this be bad for your business deal with their family, uncle?"
Uncle: "That's between me and them, also we're already working out the deal before we got you involved. We can think of something else"
FL: "But how will the ML's family respond? They wanted a tie with ours?"
Little sister: "If you REALLY don't want to I'm more than happy to take your place. He seems like a catch (she knows she's in love and is pushing her to FUCKING SAY SOMETHING)"
FL: "But what about the ML? He wanted me specifically, right?"
Brother: "but you aren't obligated to go along with it just because he picked you. If his feelings are one-sided, he'll just have to deal with it. He can't make you."
FL: "..."
Uncle: "...then it's decided..."
FL: "...No..."
Brother: "...no?...No you don't want to?-"
FL: "SHUT UP OUTSIDER!" (ignoring that she made him an outsider as she rejected everyone who actually tried to stop her aunt from beating her)

She then FINALLY says her feelings...and starts by saying that everything the brother said about her feeling threatened and forced into these arranged marriage meetings was TRUE but she started liking this one part way through. Honestly, Mahiro just distancing herself from all her family's shit is way more mature than what this shit is.

Then the there's the main thing that gets mentioned, the sexuality of the leads. Basically, Amane and Mahiro being comfortable spending the day just cooking, cleaning and sitting on the couch reading together makes their relationship like elementary schoolers (it actually makes them like an older married couple). Also bear in mind it's not like they won't do anything at all. They do things like bath together later on. On the otherhand, the other couple's more 'mature' relationship has the ML having conversations with his friends about how he likes her butt more than her boobs and doing things like GROPING HER WHEN HE THINKS SHE'S ASLEEP. Yeah, no, Amane and Mahiro have a more meaningful or real maturity to their relationship than those two, doesn't matter if there's still some shyness.

I said this on the previous chapter, but dang Yuuta and Amane look very similar in this adaptation loll

The image I have of Yuuta in the light novel is wayy different. I imagine him a little built with short hair, a more traditional handsome look. Idk why, that's just the image that pops in my head

the manga also skips much less tha the anime does, and follows the canon order of events, unlike the anime
this part is quite understandable from the nature of the medias. Manga have more time to adapt more, but the framing, poses and design of the characters are way superior on the manga godammit XD

That would be no fun : ( Chitose gave him a challenge and Amane was right in respecting that and taking it head on instead of beating the system

Well, one was made with the series in mind and the other with money as the priority. It's unfortunate how things like this can happen but that's just how the cookie crumbles
