I want to like this but for some reason I dislike her.
Girls like these... It all depends on execution so, I guess it depends on how the story will be presented. Naive or just bad luck?
I've read to many Mangas' to see where this is going. Heroine: Lived a happy-sunshine filled life till she realized too late those friends of her f*cked her up and her social reputation was ruined. Having no where, she goes to MC. That would mean she was naive and stupid not seeing how big the world is. Let's hope that's not the case and it's actually something like Parents dying or something that had nothing to do with her in the first place
I guess I could like this if her backstory is reasonable and tragic enough
[I'll read the novel since it seems good, I'll give this the benefit of the doubt]
Read the LN a few days ago when I random found volume one translated on Novel Updates. Absolutely loved it. If this is getting a full serialization later, you can bet I’m in
Doesn’t feel like that at all. So far volume one of the LN doesn’t go into detail about her past (and she keeps dodging the question or closing up when it’s mentioned). It’s heavily implied that her parents didn’t raise her with love (at one point she said her parents never used her first name) and her act at school is explained to be something she does naturally (the MC says ir was “ingrained” in her personality to act that way in public). Honestly if you’re looking for drama and tons of conflict and growth, you’re probably not going to find it (as of volume one at least). From the LN, the series feels like slow fluff (which I like).
If you want to se if you like the series before the serialization comes out, you can find V1 of the LN translated on novel updates. Just search “tenshi” and you should find it (I think some of the original WN is translated too).
Volume 2 is available on Novel Update... And it's as excellent as first was...
I do hope serialization will be on par with the LN quality.
And also the translation that'll come with
