Different Era, this is era where statement like "gassing the native" is still considered acceptable.My parents have been and are wrong about many important things, but at no point would they have thought ill because of race or nationality of my introducing a woman as my fiancée. And, for a time, I was involved with an Iraqi woman from a Muslim family.
