The native names of the dishes on page 25 are written incorrectly. Arabic-derived scripts are written from right to left and enjoined according to context.

Kebab: کباب
Laghman: لەڭمەن / لەغمەن
Naan: نان
Jalebi: جیلیبی
Manti: مأنتى

Amira sure likes pomegranates :D
Asking the vendor to fry your own meat while buying some of his stuff in thanks. Reminds me of a similar stunt I once pulled with a friend :D

This is a really easy-going story it started off with an unconventional and sweet romance that has yet to really cross the physical boundary, then with the threat of Amira's family taking her back to be used as a bargaining chip only to fall through, although I'm curious of what happened to the those of her Family that was sympathetic to her plight but still went along with trying to take her away. I'm glad the It's not just about Amir/Amira and Karluk, and that the story is branching off to more characters.
But beyond all that Drama; the focus of the Manga is also a nice tour through this people's culture and traditions and challenges along its Borders with the Russians, so far, all coming from an author who seems to have actually lived and breathed this part of the word for a time with the notes of the dishes at the end to be quite the unexpected welcome, unless those were added by the translators it is still a nice addition.
I came across this on MAL and the summary seemed interesting but it sat on my backlog for a long time, as I don't usually go for romance or Slice of Life but I'm glad I jumped in on this.

Amira just straight up murders two birds behind a shed.
Gotta love a waifu who isn't the slightest bit squemish about getting her murder on.

Anyway... I'm really not sure what to make of all this.
I really don't like the middle east as a region... but the less said about it, the better for me in the long run.

@Dr_crazy : On second thought... nah. If people are ACTIVELY telling me to shut the fuck up, then maybe I should put in some extra effort to NOT do so. I've just got to work out... what is more important? Actively defying you because I don't like your attitude... or being lazy and not bothering because it probably isn't worth the effort...

Hmmmm....

Well, I'll put in a little effort.
A while back I started looking into the effective damage of nuclear weapons. Did you know it is actually much smaller than you'd expect? Even the radioactive fallout doesn't go all that far. Point being you'd need a LOT of modern nukes if you wanted to completely eliminate a substantial landmass.... I figured out at the very least one would probably need hundreds of high-yield nukes to take out just Saudi Arabia. I suppose maybe fewer if you only targeted the highly populated areas, but you never know who could be hiding in the desert.

Well, then I got to thinking that Fennec Foxes live in that sort of environment too. That could pose a problem. Wouldn't want to accidentally kill Fennec Foxes while trying to eliminate the source of most of the world's religious problems.
So yeah... nukes are out.

But it was an interesting thought exercise at least.

@SotiCoto

You really think the Caucasus is part of the Middle East? Well, it has been about 3 weeks since I've read something this stupid.

I'm happy to see Pariya is getting a potential suitor? Hopefully he can match her energy or even compliment each other :)

I like how men have their Man talk, and women their Women talk, and the bridge between the two is the married man. Amir takes the other woman aside to discuss her interest in Smith. Instead of coming back and telling everyone, she relays the discussion to her husband, who then takes care of talking to the men about it. Random dad assumes the married man is responsible for Pariya somehow, so he discusses her with him. After he asks his questions, realizing that the man has no authority over her, and lacking anyone that does, that he talks to her directly to start discussing her marriage to his son.
