ah... yeah...... final antagonist showing up out of nowhere and the main character getting a new form? Otr's flames couldn't burn bright enough to melt the axe...........

I had fun with this one, but like most axed stories I'm sad I couldn't get more time with these characters. I was starting to look forward to Otr, Etupirko, and Khuteinn growing as warriors and people

they got some awesome gear but fuuuuuuck. seems highly unlikely, but i would like some post-war continuation, rebuidling the world and such, but even the plot like "nope. we'll win, but the spirits have to go away"

Fimbul, lol. Fimbulvintr will envelop Midgard in eternal snow and darkness before Ragnarok commences.

Fimbul means mighty, giant, large, etc, so Fimbulvintr means literally "mighty winter" and similar. The point is, Fimbul the character is a tall (fimbul) dude.

Since The Fenris Wolf eats the sun, there's no warmth to melt the snow, and Surtr the firegiant has his sword of sunfire to keep him warm as he battles the Æsir.

"I hastened our plan, but perhaps I was still too late."
Said the Ice King. This translates in Kawaguchi-speak to "I rushed as many plot points as I could but still couldn't avoid the axe." It's always an unfortunate situation to see. Hopefully Kawaguchi-sensei gets a chance to show off what they're capable of the next time they return to Jump. And, hopefully they end Otr on a strong note.

I really want to see Sixten one last time. Now that I think about it, hopefully we'll get to see all of the King's Hooves in this final battle.

Could you all imagine for a second how hype the events in this chapter would have been, had all of the characters been fleshed out, the Ice King twist properly dragged out, and the lore & power system been explained enough to matter? I was already somewhat hyped reading this chapter despite knowing that Otr is clearly going to be axed; the Evil King's debut and everyone's reactions were awesome. If Otr's potential was brought out, I think this would have been like an Avengers Assemble moment that would have made for a great final arc.
