Yup. The most the game devs have factored in is that they looked at what she was doing and said, "Hey, you fucked up the event we had planned, but coincidentally, you would fit wonderfully in its place. You're gonna keep doing what you want, but would you mind if we, to other players and marketing, used you instead?", to which she agreed. This is one of the big reasons as to why the other players haven't even considered the possibility that she herself is a player -the devs have given her a perfect mask.
the thing that I like here is that it lets our protagonist go full-ham on self-indulgent power gaming, with the blessing of the devs, but they also fully win-out because they get to have an extremely powerful/dangerous player character be a "big villain" for their big marketing fight, and she's bringing a human brain to bear on other players rather than an AI NPC that would have limitations in flexibility facing off against multiple humans.

So they get a more engaging and threatening boss villain for their game, and Rare gets to be super awesome and special and have fun in her own way without stepping on the toes of the people who could just shut her down for causing problems.

Been a while since I read this, but when did her stats become so high that she could unarmed solo several other players while still having her top tier magic accessible?

Imagine this fight from the other players' perspective.

"Shitty devs threw us a multi-stage raid boss with OHKO AOE attacks and its AI is really goddamn good"

or

"Oh, this is why they turned off the death penalty for this event. Even with the story item bonuses, this is a scripted loss event, isn't it?"
Well Done Guessing Exactly what Wayne Thought

And honestly? I like how realistic everything feels about this. She found what most would consider an exploit and got extremely powerful for it as sometimes happens. Since she was the only one though and focused on making herself a demon lord, the devs, instead of forcing a reset on her, let her continue to live out her dreams almost like a reward for finding out a way to play like this so early.

I 100% assume in the future others will figure out how her build works, but she's truly in an 'early capitalism' type of environment. Those that figure out how the system works first have a massive advantage on the exponential scaling.

this might sound very dumb, but how are the gamedevs calculating here?
what is the point of a boss character that cannot be beaten in an mmorpg?
She's a player herself. She tamed their raid boss so they asked her to step in.

Even on the off chance our "Heroes" actually manage to win, it would be a pyrrhic victory, since at the start of the fight Rare sent her undead to capture the town and castle while she played her role.

Oi, don't you guys have party chat or something, why talk in open channel?
Granted, they thought she was a NPC boss so there was no need for that, but still ...
There has been shown that friend chat exists, it's how Rare communicates with her non-human allies. It's possible that party chat itself doesn't exist haven't got this far in the book yet.

There IS no party system. It's an MMO, sure, but there's no official social systems apart from friend chat/"DMs". No such thing as guilds, no party UI, no party chat, no such thing as raid groups, heck no ability to see what an entity is called let alone any details aside from what you can perceive normally*. Every entity is equal except for the fact that non-player entities cannot see system messages such as confirmation dialogue boxes. Irrespective, it's amusing how because they assume Leah to be a NPC, they just shout out their strategies in the open.

Extremely recently. She's correctly described as a newborn calamity class entity. She's just did a double rebirth from Elf to High Elf to Queen of Destruction. In fact, so recently she hasn't even looked at her new skill tree... However, she was already powerful enough with her living armour to pulp other players with her bare hands during the first large scale event. Leah is so powerful, that she has raid bosses as her subordinates.

Thank you for the translation!

It is so satisfying to see the LN being treated with such care. The choreography of the fight is really well drawn!
The LN actually doesn't go anywhere near as intricate as this manga adaptation for this scene IMHO. I actually expected this sequence to be done in one chapter or skip ahead to the aftermath after the last chapter's cliffhanger. But instead it looks like we'll have at least one more chapter going in chronological order.

Anyhow, more opportunities to display Leah living her dreams and being a flashy boss, and it's only going to get better.

yeah, Chapter 10.2 here has the translation that she moved from High Elf and [Reincarnated] once more into the new race/class [Demon Lord], and every NPC kingdom across the realm felt her rebirth as the Seventh Calamity (went back to re-read to make certain I had it correct per what's uploaded here).

But her stats all took a major leap with that last evolution of hers, plus a plethora of new abilities, only a few of which have been shown (mostly resistances and buff boosts against any entity that doesn't have horns like hers).
So her just 1vX-ing a raid party like this is very believable.

That's some serious amount of gap moe. The greatest, most imposing demon lord, the most powerful threat to the human world of the current times... has poor eyesight and has trouble seeing her opponents.
You call it gap moe, I call it an excellent way to naturally work in a multi-phase boss fight despite the boss being a PC. First there was the knight form, then there is the angel form with eyes closed. And after you beat her too much, she suddenly figures out some trick to see / it gets dark enough that she can see and becomes much tougher.
