Maybe it's just me, but isn't she kinda weak for the amount of ridiculous skill points she supposedly has in combination with her demon lord level like class change ?..
I mean she basically killed herself alongside the sun and the other players were supposed to be a much much lower level than herself
I mean, she's just a clearly bad player.
Her strategy was "well, if I kill their leader, surely everyone else will just give up and die immediately "
Then she chooses to panic and spam random AoE's instead of just blitzing the healer
Either the author themselves is bad at RPGs or she's written to be bad at them

She thought that the leader and strategist (her old "friend" Wayne) was the most powerful member of the party, knock him out and everything else would be easy. In reality Wayne doesn't rank that high in power levels, skills etc. but he's got that leadership thing going for him. People listen to him and that's worth a lot.

She was in an Artefact grade debuff field. Think of it as she's been rendered into a story-mode boss.
The traits she stuck herself with are a massive detriment to herself. Albinism and Sort-Sightedness means she has a nasty DoT when under direct sunlight. Plus she can't see, and hence target, anything beyond a rather short range. Not ideal when she's a full caster, and not a good situation when she's not able to get a full understanding of the battlescape.

And yes, she basically killed herself dropping point blank full strength AoEs right on top of herself vastly underestimating the debuff field, and the lengths the normies were going to go to in order to secure a victory. The healer didn't bother with keeping anyone but the best tank alive, and the tank wasn't concerned with anything but to lock down Leah's movement so she's not able to threaten anyone at range.
The players are also cooperative. Normally in competive mmorpg at least from what I experience is its everything is for their own. They cooperate yes, but not to the level they cooperate in this manga.

They are like her to be frank. Players like her are many in real world.

I wonder the behind the scene in the dev side when they found out some of the crucial npc are unavailable. .

Killing the shot caller isn't a bad idea. Knock out the person who's making the snap decisions and can direct a herd of cats to point in the same direction, and you could break the teamwork which is hammering her.
She can't see the healer and is guestimating based on voices. If the healer doesn't say a damn thing except for her skill activation triggers, you're not echo locating her position.
She can't see so the easiest option in her mind is to just AoE nuke the vanguard. She's got a tonne of health and can eat the damage far more than the other players can. After which she'll have free-reign over the backline. Or so she thought. The other players had another trick up their sleeve.

All things considered, you can't fault the actions she took under those circumstances. Her mistake was getting into that situation in the first place.

I don't think it counts as spoilers now since we already past the point, but the manga changed something from the novels, which may or may not have improved the story, depending on how you view Rare's death in this chapter
As part of her summoning skill tree, she gets a skill "Castling" (as in the chess move) where she can instant swap places with a selected subordinate but with a 24 hours cooldown.

On the way flying to the capital, she spotted a carrier pigeon which she intercepted on a whim. While she stopped to read the message attached to the pigeon, she sent her owl subordinate to fly forward to the capital. Then on another whim, she used Castling on the owl because she wanted to "experiment" with the skill, instead of the standard summon skill that moves the caster to their subordinate.

So yea, she made a lot of bad decisions in this battle and the manga has downplayed it.

A skill/item that permanently reduces the stat of a target..? Yeah, no. Never gonna happen in an MMO

You're ignoring that she couldn't see the battlefield due to a passive debuff she's had since chapter 1. She's "spamming AOEs" because she can't actually see around her, and the Sunlight itself is acting as a constant debuff due to a second passive trait she's also had since chapter 1.

You're also ignoring that taking out the one coordinating all the others is a sound strategy, because if they happen to actually be the only one with a plan, that throws everyone else into chaos and confusion.

And finally, she's one player character against a team of dozens, who are actually coordinating for this fight and planned ahead with strategies. She went after the one seeming to lead, in the hopes that doing so would dissolve their cohesion, but she was always disadvantaged going into this fight.
The one thing she really got wrong was not being level-headed, and not running once things started turning bad for her. She got cocky, because she is objectively much more powerful than any of the other players.
But again, they had strategy and numbers and synergistic cohesion on their side, and she did not.

I'd suggest reading back through. It's all explained why it turned out this way, and none of it is because Rare's an idiot or a bad player, outside of her hubris.

The item in question is a world-breaker, one of those ass-pull "national treasure" level weapons that often turns up in bad isekais. Rare didn't know they existed and she's learning the hard way.

She got half outplayed and the other half is just her stupidity and pride
Reminds me of my favorite phrase too my friend told me since I always got overly paranoid of him outplaying me. "Give your opponent the opportunity to make mistakes." If they thought she was perfect, they would have had to play worse to try to be conservative about their moves. Because she could make mistakes though, and be a fallible boss, their risk was rewarded through then playing out their strategies to their best effect. Very good show.

The only asspull was the one right at the very end where she, as a player, showed an opening just because she finally recognized that the corpse attached to her was Wayne. Everything else was reasonable for the situation.

Plus, this gives the Devs a reason to not nerf her or strip her of the powers she's gained. If she can be defeated her and now through coordinated effort - even if it was her own hubris that sealed her fate - then that means she's not a broken "cheat player" that needs to be reined in for the sake of play balance / enjoyment of others.
Which is good news for Rare in the long-term.

The book speaks more on the devs by this point, they are very hands-off. They plan to just let the world and players develop however.

There is a reason beyond her getting complacent, but I can't say more. But she did get complacent and believed no one could/would beat her. For instance, she wasn't aware someone had figured out how to get healing magic prier to this fight.
