For instance, she wasn't aware someone had figured out how to get healing magic prier to this fight.
Which is made worse by the fact said player has posted how to get healing magic on the official forums, which Rare in her arrogance stopped checking for a long time.

looked like she was gonna crush them b4 the battle not a close fight where she dies
Probably the reason why I love this arc in the novel, the author managed to surprise us while leaving enough build up for how the subversion happened.

On a side note, I decided to look at the raws of next chapter, and boy the artist did a great job.

Arrogance is being stupid when you are to weak or dumb to back it up. They are not mutually exclusive, she i ls both.
Arrogance is usually from those that's been Ego-Inflated (Well in this case your right, till you said she was weak, These guys are the strongest players in the story so far Stat and Exp wise by a LONGSHOT) , and last I checked Rare wanted to show off, and yeah she has Feats considering she Whooped the Sh!t out of everyone during the PvP Tournament event so i don't know what "Weak or Dumb to back it up" you thinkin

Killing the shot caller isn't a bad idea. Knock out the person who's making the snap decisions and can direct a herd of cats to point in the same direction, and you could break the teamwork which is hammering her.
She can't see the healer and is guestimating based on voices. If the healer doesn't say a damn thing except for her skill activation triggers, you're not echo locating her position.
She can't see so the easiest option in her mind is to just AoE nuke the vanguard. She's got a tonne of health and can eat the damage far more than the other players can. After which she'll have free-reign over the backline. Or so she thought. The other players had another trick up their sleeve.

All things considered, you can't fault the actions she took under those circumstances. Her mistake was getting into that situation in the first place.
and honestly she steamrolled everyone in the PvP tournament (First event) so her arrogance is more or less, in summary when someone says "Oh Yeah? Prove it" and Rare replied "Yeah I can prove and while im at it back it up with FACT AND SOURCE!"

Hell if i couldn't show off last event, I'd be itching to do that considering the "Armor Shedding" action she did in Chapter 17 was one she practiced quite a bit just before the Tournament

Can you tell me the novel chapter?
This chapter was ch87 in the WN. The first part of that chapter is what I really like, which should be adapted in the next manga chapter. The WN put it at the start then went back to what happened.

She was to weak to back up her arrogance though, that does not necessarily mean she is weak. Just that her strenght was lower in proportion to her arrogance. If you believe yourself strong enough to take on the whole world and get beaten then you were not strong enough to back up your arrogance.
She thought herself the absolute strongest and that nothing could stop her and got shown she wasn't.

Mc still didn't get a reward for the event huh... and those debuff skills she picked did a serious number on her really hope there is a way to get rid of them... and for her to seriously invest some exp in her own stats... I don't think she ever did other than in the form of her skills...

The event isn't over yet. Believe it or not, Leah isn't the main course of the event, the other players think she's the event boss, but the event is "just" 10 in-game days of a monster surge attacking the frontier settlements and maybe making an incursion into the inner parts of the civilised kingdoms. The monster race players would be having a field day being able to blend in with the attacks and getting some exp out of this event unlike the previous one where they basically couldn't participate.

We're maybe 1-2 days into this event. There's a lot more to come.

Leah's stats are seriously jacked. She has every incentive into dumping a lot of resources into her stats because 1% is added to her immediate retainers (and with Sugaru, 1% of its stats are passed on to the ant legion due to the same skill) It's this stat inheritance which allowed for the loophole in having the ants kick the crap out of low-mid level players while being effectively "level 1", hence having them get bonus exp for killing entities that have far more exp directly invested into them.
Reminder: Players start with 100xp to allocate how they see fit, assuming of course neutral racial/birt trait costs. Leah counteracted her -20xp Beautiful birth trait with +20 Albinism, -20xp for Elf race with +30 for Poor Sight to start with 110xp. She had about 410xp by the time she started digging around for the Retainer skill and to do that she unlocked a lot of skills. And then still had xp left over to modestly improve the stats of five entities. tldr; 400xp goes a long way.
Contrast that with a 3000xp cost to only rebirth into Queen of Destruction/Demonlord. Gathering that 3000xp had Leah order the wholesale slaughter of everything possible within her private garden, which took a few hours to accumulate. That doesn't count any unique skills associated with the new race like the new unlocks available when she pit-stop rebirthed into a High Elf, which incidentally only cost 200xp. Merely double what players start with.

There's just a number of "reasons" why she lost, which will be explained in the future chapters. The obvious ones is that she's in a debuff field, got slammed with a pretty good strat to make full use of the fact that it's a one vs many, and a lot of on-the-fly adapting to her unique deficiencies in this encounter. Let there be no doubt, Wayne got his revenge for the two-time donkey punch PK'ing he suffered from Leah, even though he doesn't realise it as such.

The thing is, Leah is strong. Very strong. Strong enough on her own to be considered as an existential threat to civilisation. And yet, she has two armies in her back pocket. You'll find out very soon how the odds got stacked against her but she was fighting with two arms tied behind her back.
1: Poor Sight crippled her ability to effectively attack.
2: She wanted the capital intact. If she didn't want the capital in one piece, undamaged, she could have just dropped a Flame Detonation, which turned a grassland into a burnt-out wasteland; and just glass the entire place.

She's not just fighting against other players, she's also fighting a kingdom that is well aware that if she is not stopped, there is no future for them. They will pull out everything they have to try to kill her. Keep that in mind.

That said and done, this is a massive learning experience for Leah given it revealed to her the importance of covering all your bases if you're planning on taking on the world, and that the world has a lot of history and secrets.

Loving this manga so much fr fr ong dawg. Why is it so hard for most authors to understand that making the main character too powerful makes the series dull as hell

Maybe it's just me, but isn't she kinda weak for the amount of ridiculous skill points she supposedly has in combination with her demon lord level like class change ?..
I mean she basically killed herself alongside the sun and the other players were supposed to be a much much lower level than herself
She got cheesed by a bunch of statis effects. That, and she wasn't thinking a whole lot while the raid party was actually strategizing.
