The description of Carl's group as a 'suicide squad' (pg10) is incorrect.

A more accurate term would be 'shock troops', elite military units designed for spearheading assaults, breaching enemy lines, and attacking vulnerable rear areas with overwhelming force, often taking heavy casualties in the process.

There is well established historical precedent for shock troop units, such as those of imperial Germany during WW1.
