For 2 years Mangadex shut down comments (terrible idea). Lower comment counts discourage people from commenting, since there's no discussion to join. It was still active during those months

I was wondering why some series would go from hundreds of comments in one chapter to like 10 for next couple dozen. I figured it was because chapter would get taken down and reuploaded.

Iirc, there was some data breach & site security/infrastructure problems with the forum. Their solution, rebuild it again from scratch. There were logs of old comments, so most of those are reupload, but for a period there was just no comment/forum.

Damn, it's good to see that sword with its true name [Dual Crater] instead of the travesty [Dual Carter] in the WN translation.



Edit: oh yeah, and the other translation too [Duel Crater], which makes a whole helluva lot more sense than Carter but still makes me facepalm pretty hard
