Those horned rabbits haven't had any natural enemies for many generations. They have very little survival instincts against predation. They only seem to have aversion to aggressive magic. It could be that it's a part of their mating rituals, or perhaps just general sensitivity to magic that benefits them, and thus it has remained, unlike everything else.
