The mom has gone crazy, but it's not like she had much of a choice when she left him with his father and it's not like he had a bad childhood. Sakuraba's revenge feels really petty.

I feel like the author is making Sakuraba overdramatic for no reason. I mean, my understanding is that he likely had a decent childhood and his mother really didn’t have much of a choice in her decisions regarding him. I mean if he’s having abandonment issues, go see a therapist. I feel like his actions are somewhat of a slap in the face to his father who raised him all these years. But, maybe more of his thoughts will be explained. Right now, I’m not really buying his motives. Seems like unnecessary drama inserted by the author.

It doesn't feel like anybody's getting it:-
Ayaka's mother-in-law is forcing Tougou into darkness, into her world, having warped, Wicked personality, he tried to save Tougou and his mother from all that (through warped ways, as he was also always that wierd)
But consider this:- he was bought up in a Good Enough Environment, but always felt out-of-place, he concluded he was different from all those he lived with, he felt alienated. That's why he wanted to see her mother.... But wanted to Bring her to light, towards real happiness and not just the wierd kind she got over her son-complex from Tougou. That's why he took drastic Measures that make no sense (cuz, Don't forget, he's got a Wicked personality too)
