I'm getting kind of confused here. Everyone is betraying everyone. The buck-toothed guy betrayed the kingdom to bandits, then was planning to betray the bandits to another kingdom that he's actually loyal to. The bandits caught wind of this and decided to betray buck-tooth guy first. The guard captain was a red herring the whole time and won't actually betray the kingdom. Buck tooth still has a plan to triple-cross the double-crossers. Then we have the limping guy who's just a complete wildcard, who we and the characters know next to nothing about. This is all really hard to keep straight.
