The art is really expressive but the story was hard to follow. One of the difficulties is that most of the backgrounds are very plain, so it’s not clear where people are. There are also a lot of characters introduced very quickly, making it difficult to keep track of who they all are. Maybe the reader is expected to already know something about this story, its world, and these characters? I didn’t understand exactly what happened to the main character that led her to want revenge, so I didn’t sympathize with her in her efforts to get it. I also didn’t understand why they were trapped in a labyrinth. Perhaps some elements of that are supposed to be a mystery at this point. I was very impressed with the art though, especially the consistency, the interesting designs, and the use of perspective.
