Our group is small with a short-term goal of translating the Outlaw Star manga, maybe along with other Takehiko Ito works in the future. Our Outlaw Star manga scanlation is mostly complete. I'm looking for a cleaner who'd be willing to make some extra touches. That'd be things like some noise removal, fixing orientation, generally checking the pages over. I'd do initial cleaning though. Our members:
Pachio: Translation
Haku: Translation
Zemekis: Facilitation
Mantis (me): Proofreading/editing, typesetting, cleaning, rebuilding
The scans we're working with for Outlaw Star are pretty old (nearly two decades) so the scan quality isn't amazing. There is an appearance of degradation (probably in part due to JPG compression) on many of the pages. I imagine there are many out there who could do far better than me at cleaning that noise, particularly on the B/W pages.
