here's your issue one she is at the moment the only being who figured out that you can't just do a single method to get the required results also due to books given to her by the king she learned a lot more on what else is possible she isn't messing around she is doing trial and error which takes both time and patience. she also has the fairies support which is due to her nurturing plants that normally grow within the forest.

Personally I was hoping for alcohol extraction, or oil, or something else. There is a lot more to extracting things than just using water.

My issue is the manga is not showing the trial and error properly. Just 2 panels and suddenly she can solve it. At least show us what she did wrong. Not just "Okay, it work."

Most likely they just chose to "timeskip" the process. Not surprising considering the pace of the story so far.

They did show what went wrong, P11, boiling it ruins the ingredients. She's stumped for a bit and tries a bunch of stuff offscreen while we're seeing what happened to the prince, but she narrows down the exact issue and figures out another potential solution when we next see her, P14, and begins testing it before finally succeeding P16. That's a bit more than "just two panels"
