Once again, a manga in which characters powerful enough to be law-givers monkey-dance through the whole of a chapter and at the end do not fix the social order.
Well... believe it or not, it's realistic.Another tiring Trope of ""Some noble trying to piss the hero who saved the world and who also has the entire world leaders under her thumb"" despite knowing that she is the hero who saved the world and who also has the entire world under her thumb. Come on author, if you go for this trope at least make the noble have some trick on their sleeves where the Hero's title and the world leaders are muted and cant intervene, and not some direct to door approach.
Not saying anything about the authenticity of the nobles stupidity. What I am saying its a lazy trope, If an entire chapter is dedicated to it and has an effect on the next chapter then at least made them more interesting.Well... believe it or not, it's realistic.
People who have a little bit of power that they never worked to earn legit think like that, if not worse. And yes, it leads them to ruin.
It's why Spoiled Rich kids are often the death of a lineage or at least their wealth.
It'd be weird for them not to have nobles like that tho... that's just how humans are. And well, they've already established them as trash nobles in that faction, so it'd be dumb for them not to have it.Not saying anything about the authenticity of the nobles stupidity. It makes sense if you're using insane troll logic. From the previous chapters, the rationale, if you can call it that, that these moronic nobles from this one specific kingdom keep using can be summed up as:Did this chapter make no sense to anyone else? Maybe I'm just dumb but I understood nothing. So this guy just invades a foreign nation with a handful of soldiers, he talks about how the people he was until previously in debt to (the heroes) are now in debt to him so they now have to be his slaves. Oh and his men loot and steal from the heroes private property. Where did this debt come from and why are people letting them do this?
Then they finally get sent away and go straight to a royal castle, force their way in, are not stopped at any point, point swords and threaten a princess, threaten to enslave her, and when MC comes in to defend them he's the bad guy (politically) because he used force on the soldiers. HOW DOES ANY OF THIS MAKE SENSE! From a story stand point this makes no sense in my eyes. This dude should have been killed the second he tried to force his way into a royal castle.
Yes, nothing here makes sense and it ignores a bunch of prior problems. Including that the Diamante Kingdom itself is heavily indebted and collapsing.Correct me if im wrong, but wasn't one of the reasons why mc chose to go to this kingdom because they were one of the few with a competent leader that did no spiral the country into debt?
Basically, the idea was to FORCE a loan on the Dragon Kingdom. Then refuse them repaying it with money, much less the money given. Instead demanding the hero party as compensation. Getting his hands on their assets, rewards, and property, and then using that to profit a ton.The incompetency of the Diamante kingdom is way too high, a duke /prime minister literally walked to th emansion of the heroes that have credit owed from the whole world, but their kingdom thanks to the king recent actions, and they literally go and and try to attack, enslave, steal and kill them? Is insane how stupid this story became.
The logic of the duke makes no sense when seeing how the Diamante kingdom had problems paying their own debt, if they had a credit with other countries couldn't have they used that to pay the heroes?
Wasn't a whole thing about the Dragon kingdom MC is now in being the only one that was paying its debt? How could they have one, and that big?
I honestly don't udnerstand were the debt came from, why is so high, why if the duke asked for it to be paid with the citizens it would be fine, it makes no sense, and enraging the heroes that killed the demon lord in their house is way too dumb.
It seems like a dumb plot made for the duke to free male heroes that got brainwashed and send them against MC and company.
Good lord, so it wasn't mistranslation or my brain fizzling when reading, Duke really wanted them to get in debt with Diamante and refuse a normal payment, the writer drank retarded juice.Basically, the idea was to FORCE a loan on the Dragon Kingdom. Then refuse them repaying it with money, much less the money given. Instead demanding the hero party as compensation. Getting his hands on their assets, rewards, and property, and then using that to profit a ton.
Which, doesn't work on oh so many level. Unless the Dragon Kingdom is also stupid and incompetent as hell. Which this chapter has shown us, it is. Because somehow this guy could not only WALTZ into their Kingdom, he just rocked up to their capital, then lead an armed group right to the Queen and started dictating her terms. The guy basically just declared war and conquered the Dragon Kingdom in the span of a few minutes. If the MC hadn't shown up he would've actually succeeded in that.
It's ridiculous to the extreme and poses the question why the MC and his party aren't doing the same thing. Since clearly the Dragon Kingdoms leadership is incompetent, stupid, and cowardly.
It appears the scanlation group is hold three chapters back on their website. 8 and 9 I guess are readable (I won't read it there) and 10 shows a lock icon....
edit: decided to just go to the group website to read the next chap: actually kinda like the resolution they gave to this scenario, it's a bit too "manga"y, but it's always fun to read these kinds of events
