Well, I guess I could've written it more abstract, as: That a manga about RL political figures + some fantasy hero slapping them, would be pretty cathartic.

Uh, is the King becoming more of the MC then the MC?

The King has shown personal growth (recognizing his flaws and working to fix them, shouldering his duty, putting his responsibilities before his pride) and physical growth (being able to release hakki, even if it's nothing compared to the Hero's). That's like entire arcs and a season's worth of character growth, in just 2 volumes.

In comparison, I don't think we've seen any real change from the MC.

But to be fair to Horus, he's like a character that reached the level cap while the King hadn't been leveling (working) at all until now, so of course their rates of growth would be massively different.

I love the fact that the king went through such drastic personal growth and came to see the error of his ways. You so rarely see that in these sorts of stories, so it's honestly quite a refreshing divergence from the norm. I went from disliking the guy to genuinely feeling bad for him and then rooting for him. He's a new favorite character of mine now!
