Makes me wonder what will happen if it is attacked from a distance and/or position which it cannot reach, e.g., from the air and/or a distance beyond the effective range of its weapon.

It's Sergeant, not Sargent, but- wait, my spellcheck recognizes both?... What the heck
Clearly, Sergeant is the correct spelling, whereas Sargent is the proper spelling.
also Sergeant is a military rank, while Sargent is a last name.
So if you put a capital S on it, the auto correct is not going to mind regardless.

I've always loved this one. A living Tank that just...seems to hate war.
It doesn't hate war, it hates traitors and anything else that can actually harm it.

It was kinda cruel for the Foundation to make the tank shoot that D-Class prisoner who was only holding a weapon and did nothing.

As long as the D-Class was holding a weapon it was a threat, so the tank allowed the Foundation tank crew to operate it. If the D-Class was unarmed it would have refused to fire or jammed like the other time.

Looks like this tank knows the differences between enemies regardless of armed status and civilains.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't D-Class personel death row inmates or of similar circumstances?

I don't wanna get into the ethics/philosophy of the subject, but them being used for these experiments seemed rather fitting given whatever got them there in the first place....

I still don't understand why the tank doesn't use its coaxial machine gun.
How is that not an option if the tank is intelligent?

While most of them are death row inmates, others may include people with lesser crimes, homeless people, refugees, political prisoners and former foundation personnel who messed up big time. Even innocent civilians will be forced to be D-Class if circumstances are dire.

Remember, the SCP foundation aren't the good guys, they're just a necessary evil along with other organizations they have some understanding with that keeps the world safe from unknown dangers that could destroy the world and keep the illusion that everything is normal.
