if there's an earthquake or shaking of any kind, it'll cause the bell to ring.
always remember that SCPs tend to have ways of making themselves trigger.

No, this setup, the thing the SCP is referencing.
(Edit: I don't think it was a cowbell, but there was some kind of noisemaker, and if you touch it the thing sees you, if you make the noise it eats you)

The secondary entity isn't summoned or made by the entity, but rather it opens you to the second. It's already there. You just can't see it, it can't see you, but make the wrong move and it knows you're there

Wouldn’t putting it in a vacuum be a better solution? There can’t be any sound to be heard if there is no air or any other matter that conducts sound vibration.
